Building Confidence and Expertise

YAMSEN:SpeciallyMusic organises workshops and training days for staff and interested people who are looking
for new, different and better ways of teaching and interacting with people with additional needs.

YAMSEN:SpeciallyMusic members pay a discounted entry fee for our workshops.

Upcoming Workshops:

Developing the Musicality of Children with Additional Needs

Thurs 21 March from 7:30 at
St Chad's Parish Centre, Leeds

10.00 for members
15.00 for non-members

Two practical sessions with time for questions, sharing ideas and opportunities to meet other staff from special and mainstream schools.

Using the Kodaly Approach
Jenny Winterburn demonstrates how she has used the approach to transform the way pupils make music in her school. 

Creating a School Band
Brigitte Taylor shows how she has developed Broomfield Band, a rock band in a special school that perform in public.
